MeggieSoft Games Cribbage is a comprehensive two-player implementation supporting the Five, Six, and Seven Card versions. Play against an online opponent or against your computer. Cribbage has a deep user interface and many customizable graphic, audio (including MIDI music and language output), convention and scoring options. Six different computer opponent skill levels are available for when you are unable to aim online, or scarcely want to praxis privately.
Cribbage is played with a measure 52-card embellish. The game involves the discarding of two cards by each participant and then playing the cards with the object of scoring points for completing combinations (15, 31, pairs, sequences, and flushes), and for acheving other scoreable situations. When the cards have been played, the players recollect their played cards and score promote points for combinations of the cards held. The dealer also scores for the Crib (the initially discarded cards). Successive rounds are dealt and played until one participant has reached the points goal of the game (61, 121, or 181 points, depending upon the deal size). Cribbage supports the Cuthroat Cribbage (Muggins) sport, and additional convention and scoring options.
The user interface, commons to whole MeggieSoft Games, supports both point-and-click and drag-and-drop mouse operations. Features include: realistic animated wag movement; right-click pop-up menus; a soupcon facility; a tutorial; automatic play; automatic save and restore of partly finished games; multiple-user scoreboards; a cleanse and uncluttered main window; status-bar shortcut buttons; and fully customizable main exhibit font and wallpaper effects for the table and playing matt, and the wag backs.
